Default horrible roll over photo where body split from the frame

There is a story that goes along with this photo, but notice how the body split from the frame. Unfortunately, the guy died. Makes you wanna get an additional cage.

Link to info about roll over.

Yeah, especially since he rolled so hard that it completely severed the body from the chassis. Dunno. I'm still gonna invest in a good roll cage.

I have been reading about them. Some say the weld on are better than the bolt on because they are sturdier, but I like the bolt on with the added piece to tie in to the frame through the floorboard.

If I wheeled alone, I could go the cheaper route and get just the front portion. Because my 3 year old is always in the back on the trails, I need to get the part to strengthen the back portion also. If I had to choose between one or the other and not both, I would choose to protect my kid.

Geez that was a violent roll. If he had a full cage welded at 6 points on the frame, it might not have separated body and chassis and he might have made it. Miljeep, you can always get the bolt on and then have it welded.

That's what I was considering. That way I can buy it as money comes and bolt it on, then finalize with the weld.

I am getting the bolt on from Rockhard4x4. It should have went out Tues or Wed of last week.
