    Question Drilling a baseball

I want to use a baseball as my shifter knob. Has anybody tried drilling a hole in one? I think i've seen it done on JF, but can't find it again. Any help out there??

I've never personally drilled a hole in a baseball, but they do sell them on quadratec.

I would imagine you would have to find a nut that would be the same size / threads as the top of the shifter, drill a hole and then insert the nut in the baseball and have it held in place with epoxy.

^^^ What he said!!! I know that is how we used to make pool balls work for this... it worked better than just drilling and threading the pool ball, which I know you can't do with a baseball!!

Don't drill into the ball. It won't work.

The epoxy with the nut idea is the best option I think.
