Default Chevy 10 Bolt in a CJ

I figure I'm going to need a new steering setup for this. Any ideas?

youll want a high steer arm for at least the passenger side. a dana44 or a 10bolt arm will work. you'll need the machined knuckle too. If you dont use the high steer arm you will run into leaf spring clearance.

Are you wanting to run the 10 bolt SUA or SOA? If you go SOA then what Mousee said is correct. If you are going to stay with SUA than you don't need the high steer arm and machined knuckle right away. You can use youe existing power steering pump and gear box without any issues. To give you an example, I am running a CJ gear box in my TJ. The feet have been cutoff and re-welded so that the mounting holes line up with my frame.

I'm staying with SUA. I'm attempting to do little to no lift at all. Where could I get a high-steer arm and knuckle

I don't see many writeups on this. Is it not common?

chevy d44 is the same exact thing... only different. find a writeup on a 44 and you have it made. The only problem you will run into running sua is that the ten bolts are setup soa, and the passenger side perch is in the casting(thats why I assumed soa). If you are narrowing its not a big thing, if not it can be challenging. The spring spacing on the ten bolts is wider than yer cj, again, not a big deal if narrowing, but you will want to relocate yer main eye and shackles if running full width.
As for the knuckle and arm, it just depends on yer budget. I found mine on ebay, knuckle and arm togeddaboth as a package.
I am running the ten bolts front and rear and couldn't be happier. the reason you can't find much on them is cause people think or have read on the internet that its a crap axle. I have been running 36's on mine for several years now without a hitch. I kept the 1310 ujoint at the yoke as a fuse, the only thing I have broken...
