    Default air bag

I have a 97 wrangler, My air bag light keeps turning on and off while I am driving. when it turns on my tach and spedo goes out. I have changed the clock spring and the computer. My question where is the air bag controller? and do you think that is the problem.

    Thanks
    Justin

There is a relay you can check but I would check all the grounds first.

Should be under the hood where the fuse block is, on my '01 it's on the passenger side in front of the battery.

my 97 did the same thing mine was the main plug under the dash that all the insturments go to. there is a main plastic plug that everything goes to under the dash on the drivers side.

I would loose part or all of my dash when I hit a bump. Mine was due to the last owner put in an alarm and who ever did it did not get the plug back together right

It is a common problem on TJ's. The usual cause is the connector and the pins in said connection not making contact as well as they should. Pull the gauge cluster and you will find the connector right behind it. Pull the connector apart, adjust the pins slightly so that they make contact, apply die-electric grease and re-install.
