    Thumbs up Shakedown Cruise

Took the JK out for a cruise,( all hi way this time) to see what it could do.......three days and 1000 miles later, I'm hooked. Western NY, Central NY and central PA. Saw a lot of Jeeps out there. I did note that the flat azz windshield attracts kamikaze bugs by the truck load.Had several pit stops along he way to clean up the carnage. Also noted tht the needle on the fuel guage needle speeds up a little at hi way speed + 5.......Hey I knew it wasn't a Prius when I bought it.

Sunday, the sun was out, it hit 70 degrees, I dropped the top, cranked up the tunes and RTB'd on the Interstate. My Jeep did well. I'm hooked. Now the wife wants to go on the next "safari".

Sounds like you had fun. Not only does the flat windshield like bugs but it loves rocks also. Took my top off on my TJ a month ago and installed a safari top along with my raingler nets. The wife and kids love it (kids more than wife). Top isnt going back on until I see snow. Enjoy your Jeep.

Aw, these things are major bug magnets!
Try driving through the Delaware Valley late spring/early summer... there's some kind of big, fat, juicy bug that makes a silver dollar sized splat on your windshield! Looks like the opening of "MIB"! Sillly things won't wipe off easily... left me swearing 'got danged bugs'.

Even so, I wouldn't trade my TJ for anything!

Sweet. Most of the time it's me and the pups. The 6 doesn't care for drives with the top down and doors off (Mostly the doors), so I bought some softs (didn't help much). Still says she doesn't feel safe, because of the warning label on the visor. Biggest kick in the ass, she wants a Miata convertable.

How about off roading, rocks or mud, family into that fun?

Buy a squeegie of your own and a bottle filled with washer fluid to spray on, I use an old windex bottle.
