What type of jeep are you talking about?
If it's a wrangler, you don't need to remove any bolts to pull the seat out.
that's REAR seat! I feel like an IDIOT! I tried to take out my rear seat to move some stuff. I tried to get the first bolt of but the head snapped right off. then I tried taking the nut from the bottom, but it was rusted on pretty good. After a few coats of WD40, I tried again and the nut woud not go. I managed to snap another bolthead and now my kids cant go jeepin'. I'm probably gonna need an easy-out and a couple replacement bolts. I just dont know the size to replace it with. Also, I think I was told there was a safety on the nut so people cant come up and take your rear seat. Any info would be nice.

sorry, it's a 99 sport 4.0
I know my YJ has pins holding the rear seat in.. Check under the front of the rear seat and should have 1 pin on each side... Just pull them out and you are golden..

Don't all TJ's just have the bar at the bottom/back of the seat...
You pull the tab on the top back to flip the seat forward, then squeeze the bar on the bottom back to release the clamps from the brackets mounted to your tub.
It's like a 30 sec process that doesn't involve removing any bolts.
I don't have mine installed. It's been a few years since I've messed with the rear seat but yeah it's pull one pin/clip slide the seat and pull out after flipping that is. Shouldn't be undoing any bolts.
Post up some pics.

my 98 has the r clips on the end of each seat "bar" once they are removed there is enough movement left to right to get those "bars" out of the brackets

Feel like a retard, I'll drop some pics tomorrow. But I still have to get 2 bolts replaced since the heads sheered off. Anyone know what size the bolts for the main brackets that bolt to the tub are?
Not sure of the thread, but they're about a inch long. I would pull out the other 2 torx bolts, use them to figure out the thread.... and don't replace them with more torx bolts. Just use reg hex heads.
