    Default Shakedown Run *UPDATED*

Should have everything back together and buttoned up for a shakedown run with the YJ.

The reasons for a shakedown run include:
hardly been driven for the last 3+ years (stationed overseas and such)
    new 1" BL
    Belly-Up skid plate installed
    Shrockworks front bumper installed
    Warn XD9000i installed
    new 35 KM2's
it actually has never really been abused
    I WANT TOO!!!!!

Tentatively planning on Rausch Creek, first weekend in Aug. Arriving Friday, July 31 and camping and hitting the trails the next morning. I have never been to RC so if there is someone else wanting to go please let me know. I won't be doing anything too crazy out there as I don't have rock sliders yet and I still have a D35.

    See below post.

    Check the mid-atlantic forum.
There may be a few people heading up that weekend from the northern va area. I think there's a post in there for this weekend, but there's comments about going the following also.

Shakedown scrubbed. (Or at least venues changed)

Time probably will not allow for driving to RC that weekend. If anyone has somewhere local to wheel that weekend, that would probably work. If nothing else, I expect to start getting more recovery calls once he is back on the road.

    Common recovery calls:

"CWO2, GySgt, Sgt, can you come pull a buddy out? He wanted to see where ... got stuck his Jeep stuck the other day and he can't get his 1500, F250, etc out."

We have a lot of these in my squadron. A lot of guys like to go out, usually by themselves, and none of them have winches. They do have cellphones though, so they can call somebody to pull them out though.

The best one was about three weeks ago when the CWO2 got a call about 2330 asking for help from a Marine who got his F250 stuck. They were there for 7 hours and had to call for more help!

Anyway, let me know if anybody wants to go wheeling that weekend.
