Not sure on the gear box portion, if it's a Saginaw style box, you can probably make it fit.

Just remember, CJ manual gear boxes have 3 bolt brackets, and the CJ power steering boxes have 4 bolt brackets.

Some PS boxes are compatable, and have the 3 bolt mounting (ZJ Grand Cherokees are one) that fit the CJ manual bracket with a little grinding.

The S10 steering column fits the CJ very nice, with only a little modification. Bonus is the dimmer switch can be used on the column, instaed of the foot button.

If you use an S10 column and a Jeep PS gearbox (like I did) you will need to modify the sector shaft, as the ends of the joints are different.

You should be able to tell if the whole S10 setup will work, by looking at the gearbox, and measuring the sector shaft against what you have now.

Don't forget you'll need to figure out the pump. hoses, pump brackets and belt set up also.

    HB

If you want pics of an S10 column installed in a CJ ('80 CJ7) just let me know, I'll go snap a few.
