    Default Diff and Transfer Fluid

    Sorry for this question, I just dont trust the kids and Auto Zone with any answer (they dont have a 2005 Wrangler "Rocky Mnt Ed" on thier puters).... What Diff fluid and Transfer Case fluid would you recommend to use.

    05 TJ D30 frt, D44 Rer.

    I use 8ow90 for my Difs. With the 44 does it have a Limited slip, if so you need the additive also.
    Check the owners Manual, if you have own.

    BTW, don't appologize for asking aquestion you don't know.

    No owners manual, but I do think it has a limited slip in the rear. Whats the additive, and do you use regular tranny fluid in the T-case?

    Some xfer cases are diff but mine uses regular tranny fluid i have heard of some using a diff oil so I would check around.
