    Default clutch

I just put a new LUK clutch kit in my TJ yesterday and now I have a squealling noise weather the clutch is in or out and weather I am driving or idiling. Thought maybe the new clutch might have a "break-in" period but I have no clue. We replaced everything (pilot bushing, throw out bearing, pressure plate and clutch). I also thought maybe it was my belt, but the noise goes away when I have the clutch push in about halfway. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated. THANKS!!

Pull it back out and make sure the side that says "this side towards flywheel" is actually facing the flywheel!!!

DAMN!! Would the clutch still work if it wasnt facing the right way? Because the clutch seems to work really good. Its actually smoother than when I bought the Jeep.

Yes it will still run and operate on a jeep if it is backwards, I nuked one when I was TAD once and had to have it changed rather than do it myself and drove it for several thousand miles before it started to give me trouble...but when it did, it had smoked the clutch, both bearings, the P Plate as well as the flywheel. For me, it would be worth pulling it and checking.

Somebody just told me that I might need to bleed the hydraulic line for the clutch. They work at a garage and said that you normally have to bleed the line afterwards.

Air in the hydraulic lines would not make any noise, You said it works great. I agree with taking it out and checking that it is in correct. You can also check the pilot bearing to ensure it is in straight and not binding.
